The commission brief in this project was about the design of a triple residence in an urban plot overlooking the sea in Glyfada, Athens.

The aim of the design was for all apartments to face towards the seaview. That led to the decision to maximize the facade of the building on the northwest edge of the plot and to create large openings and cantilevered terraces on that side. All apartements are organized in two floors. Mezzanines on top of every living room host the master bedrooms which also face towards the Athenian Riviera.

The penthouse enjoys the privacy of the rooftop terrace and is also equipped with a cantilevered pool with a glass bottom.

The aesthetics of the concept aim to evoke a feeling of timelessness and serenity.

The elongated cantilevers outlined by linear steel beams of gradually diminishing height create a delicate seamless perimeter which offers the sense of a gravitational deniability. The play between the horizontality of the structural elements and the verticality of aluminum louvres breaks the staticness of the synthesis and creates a kinetic result. Travertine marble cladding covering certain concrete elements as well as all flooring in terraces completes the visual concept of luxurious minimalism presented in this project.
