The design of the Four Elements Bistro -privately reserved for Mykonos Earth Suites tenants- aims at infusing discreet luxury touches into an overall relaxed atmosphere.
Carefully selected design elements and furniture create an earthy-color palette evoking the familiarity of Greek island summer.
Elevated wooden materiality strategically adds contrast which subtly defines the main elements of the design concept: the bar and the roof.
The bar is a wooden sculpture featuring double curvature sides similar to small wooden boats.
The roof has been conceived as an exterior summer pergola, with a central and a perimeter zone.
At the center of the pergola the load-bearing wooden beams of the roof are left visible. The gaps between the beams are covered in polycarbonate panels which permit the natural sunlight to enter the space through a filter layer of canes. During sunset, the space is filled with indirect lighting emanating from the open central pergola zone.
The perimeter of the pergola has been divided into wooden frames inspired by traditional carpentry crafting. The frames incorporate a zone of direct downlight spots with closed light beam angle aimed on the dining tables’ surfaces.
Golden details complete the design creating a strong contrast between the lustrous specularity of metal surface and the raw roughness of the natural stones forming the perimeter walls.
